Grundschule am Karl-Marx-Ring (Architects: Auer Weber). Graphics for a basic school in Munich. We selected the nicest and graphical most suitable elements from approximately 800 individual drawings created in a workshop by 8- and 9-year-old students from the school. Some of these elements were slightly edited, vectorized, and rearranged. The result is a signage system that simultaneously gives identity to the five clusters, "Lernhäuser" of the school. The theme revolves around the five continents, with each featuring six animals as identifiers for the individual classrooms.

Ecole Nonnewisen, Esch-Sur-Alzette, Luxemburg | Auer Weber
The new preschool and primary school is part of a major urban plan on the edge of the steel industry dominated town of Esch-sur-Alzette in Luxembourg.
The development area is constructed on the site of a former allotment gardens, which were lent by the tenants reluctant and struggling through a citizens' initiative. Reason enough for a reminiscence of the well-beloved Nonnewisen with fruit trees, vegetable beds, lettuce seedlingen, insects, birds and other small animals. The theme of the little garden allotment runs through the whole school and continues in its abstraction in the form of gym shoes and swimwear by the sports complex.
